Originally from Adelaide, Sean now trains at the National Centre of Excellence at the AIS.
Starting gymnastics at the age of seven after being spotted through a talent identification program at his school, Sean went on to represent his country at the Australia Youth Olympic Festival in 2009 where he took home the silver medal on Floor.
After a two year hiatus from National competition due to an Achilles tear, Sean won his first medal at Senior level at the 2014 Australian Gymnastics Championships finishing third in the All Around and High Bar events as well as winning gold as a member of the victorious Victorian team.
His efforts ensured that he would win his first Commonwealth Games selection, finishing seventh in the High Bar finals, as well as 10th in the All-Around finals, and was also called up to the World Championships squad as a reserve.
