Aya Meggs

Aya Meggs (pronounced I-ya), a product of the seemingly never-ending Western Australian Women’s Artistic Gymnastics factory, has impressed on both the Australian stage, as well as internationally.

In only her second major international tournament – the 2014 Nadia Comaneci Invitational – Meggs finished an outstanding sixth in the All-Apparatus final, with results of second on the Vault, third on the Bars and fourth on the Floor cementing a breakthrough tournament from the Perth native.

Prior to that, Meggs had an impressive 2013 National Championships, competing in the IDP 10 category. Meggs finished top five in every apparatus, the All-Around final, and the Teams competition, ensuring that she would be a name to watch for the next few years.

In 2014, she moved up to the Junior division where she once again impressed, finishing third on the Bars.

2016 saw Aya her first year of senior competition where she competed at the National Championships, placing 15th AA.
