Jade Vella-Wright


                                                              
      

Jade has proved herself to be a very talented gymnast since arriving on the scene at the 2013 Australian National Championships. She bursted into the scene as an IDP 8 placing 3rd overall with an amazing 2nd on bars and 3rd on vault. This was the begininng of Jade. She made a return to the National Championships every year with more outstanding performances with her best being 2nd all-round Junior champion at the 2016 National Championships. From this event Jade Vella-Wright was named on the Australian National Junior Squad for 2016/2017.  

Vella-Wright was first introduced to international competition in November 2016 where she competed at the Elite Gym Massilia in Marseillie, France as a Junior. She then went on to compete at the 2016 Olympic Hopes Cup in the Czech Republic placing 8th overall as well as 2nd on bars.
 
 Jade was welcomed into senior competition at the beginning of 2017 where she again showed another impressive display of her talent. Jade competed at the 2017 L'International Senior International Cup Competition placing13th in the all-round finals, 6th on bars, as well as 4th in the team competition. 

Jade currently trains at Waverly Gymnastics Centre with fellow team mates Emily Whitehead, Larrissa Miller and Talia Folino and is hoping to have the opportunity to represent Australia at the Commonwealth Games in 2018.
