Beginner Coach Accreditation Pathway

Ready to start coaching gymnastics? Here's where you start! Follow the step-by-step guide below to enrol in each component of the Beginner Coach Accreditation.

Step 1: Create an online account

  1. Create an account in Gymnastics Australia’s Learning Management System (LMS). The website address is https://learning.gymnastics.org.au

  2. Select ‘New account’ to register as a new user

  3. Complete the registration process.

 

Step 2: Enrol in the Beginner Coach Accreditation Pathway

  1. Log in to the Learning Management System (LMS) at https://learning.gymnastics.org.au

  2. Open the catalog by clicking the Catalog browse arrow symbol and then clicking Browse Catalog. In the catalog, click Beginner Coaching Accreditation Pathway




  3. On the following page click Enrol and then Enrol now



  4. On the following page, choose the State / Territory where you would like to attend the Beginner Face to Face Course. New South Wales is selected below:



  5. You have enrolled in the Beginner Coaching Accreditation Pathway. Click the Accreditation Pathways button and then on the following screen, click Beginner Coaching Accreditation Pathway to continue



  6. This screen displays all the coursework you need to complete to attain the Beginner Coaching Accreditation. You must complete the Online Beginner Coaching Course before registering for the Beginner Face to Face Coaching Course. Click the blue Purchase button next to the online course:



  7. Click Next, Add to Cart and follow the payment process. You will be required to pay $100 by credit card (this fee includes your first year technical membership payment).

 

Step 3: Complete the Online Beginner Coaching Course

  1. Open the course, read all of the content and complete all assessments throughout Parts 1, 2 and 3.

  2. On achieving 100% in all 14 of the assessment tasks, you will be competent for this part of the course.

  3. Now you can register for a Face to Face course.

 

Step 4: Register for the Beginner Face to Face Coaching Course

You will only be able to register for a Beginner Face to Face Coaching Course if you have successfully completed the online course.

  1. Log in to the LMS at https://learning.gymnastics.org.au

  2. Click the Accreditation Pathways button and then on the following screen click Beginner Coaching Accreditation Pathway to continue



  3. On the following screen, the LMS will show you a 100% green bar under Mandatory items if you have completed the online course. This must be completed before purchasing the Face to Face course.

  4. In the image below, the Face to Face course in ACT will be purchased; the State / Territory of your Face to Face Course will depend on which Certification Path you chose at enrolment. Contact your State / Territory  if you would like to purchase a course in a different State. Otherwise, click the blue Purchase button for the Beginner Face to Face Coaching Course:



  5. Follow process as detailed in Step 2 for payment by credit card (fees vary per State).

 

Step 5: Register for the Beginner Face to Face Coaching Course

You will only be able to register for a Beginner Face to Face Coaching Course if you have successfully completed the online course.

  1. Attend the course and complete all assessment tasks

  2. If you successfully complete all assessments, you will be marked as competent and become an accredited Beginner Coach

  3. If you are unsuccessful in your assessments, you will receive instructions on what to do next.
