Tuesday, 25 February 2014

The Men's Artistic Gymnastics Junior National Development Camp wrapped up on Monday 24 February following four days of intensive training at the AIS.

National Coach John Curtin, assisted by Greg Corsiglia, Sergei Chinkar & Yu Bo conducted the camp with 37 gymnasts and 11 coaches from 11 programs from across the country.

The camp focussed on quality development of both basic skills and fundamental difficulty skills. In addition, the gymnasts also completed a profile test during the camp.

The top performers in the profile tests for each age group were:

Under 12 – Nick Matthews (SA HPC) & Jesse Moore (SA HPC)
Under 14 – Robert Crea (VIC HPC) & Erik Grabandt (VIC HPC)
Under 16 – David Tanner (SPC) & Hudson Irwin (VIC HPC)

Significantly, all the gymnasts and coaches were enthusiastic throughout the camp and the experience was enjoyed by all. Congratulations to all those who attended!
