Gymnastics Australia Statement Update on the latest Federal Government changes 20 March 2020

The Federal Government has today (20 March 2020) imposed further restrictions on the capacity of indoor venues to include requiring a space of four-square metres per person.

Acknowledging the impact these new restrictions will have on our clubs, Gymnastics Australia is working with our State and Territory Associations to support our clubs as best we can, in what is an ever-changing situation.

We understand this is an incredibly concerning time for our members, club owners and the wider community. We are living in unprecedented times and we are all trying to navigate the situation as best we can, as it changes daily and sometimes hourly.

We will continue to provide updates to our clubs and members via their State and Territory Associations and via our website over the coming 24-48 hours.

If you have any questions about your specific club or program, contact them directly or follow their social media pages for the most up-to-date information.

If you are a club and have any questions about your specific situation, please contact your state or territory association.

Sport Australia is encouraging everyone to remember that maintaining regular physical activity during times of uncertainty is important for our own mental health and wellbeing, where safe and appropriate and always adhering to the now regulated health and hygiene guidelines.
