JLT
SPORT WEB SITE FOR GYMNASTICS IS NOW LIVE
JLT Sport have advised that the 2008 web site for Gymnastics Australia
is now LIVE. Please click
here to view the web site. This
site has been updated completely for 2008.
Clubs
are advised to take careful note of the following with respect to
personal accident claims:-
All
Claimants must notify Sportscover within 30 days from the date of
injury of their "intention" to lodge a claim. This does
not mean they must submit the claim form within 30 days, but instead,
simply contact Sportscover by phone (1300 134 956), email (claims@sportscover.com)
or complete an online notification (www.sportscover.com).
They must, however, complete the claim form in full and return it
to Sportscover within 120 days from the date of injury.
The 2008 National Risk Protection Program Handbooks will be distributed
to all affiliated clubs next week. The content of the handbook is
replicated on the web site (plus more), so anyone requesting insurance
information in the interim should refer to the web site in the first
instance.
EXCITING
NEW RESOURCE RELEASED - GYMNASTICS AUSTRALIA'S CORE STABILITY CD-ROM
The
Core Stability CD-ROM is a great new resource for coaches, containing
hundreds of ideas for training athletes of all levels to develop
effective core stability. GA's sport science and medicine committee
have put together images and exercise descriptions for MAG and WAG
athletes on one easy to use CD so that you can print out exercise
cards or posters for your gym.
Progressions range from basic to advanced levels and there is a
great overview of core stability and injury prevention.
There is very good scientific evidence to show that improving core
stability will reduce back injury, promote effective technique and
posture and enhance performance. Consider spending 10 minutes each
day working on stability with your athletes and see the difference
it can make.
The Core Stability CD-ROM is available for immediate sale from the
GA Gymshop for $33 (including GST) and postage and handling.

ARTISTIC - NATIONAL PROGRAM CD-ROM
