WEEK 2008 TO COINCIDE WITH THE 2008 OLYMPIC GAMES
Keep these dates in your diary - 8th to 24th August coinciding with
the Olympic Games.
Isn't that a fortnight rather than a week, you say? Well yes, but
all the better to celebrate Gymnastics while it basks in the glory
of the Olympic spotlight.
Keep an eye on future issues of the Latest News for more information
about what activities are planned for Gymnastics Week 2008.
TECHNICAL
MEMBERS - IS YOUR UPDATING CORRECT?
To date close to 3000 technical members have renewed their membership
for 2008. It has been pleasing to see the majority of technical
memberships reaching the office with appropriate updating.
There are still however some members who appear to be unaware of
the annual updating requirements that are required to renew their
coach/judge accreditation. Each year Gymnastics Australia releases
a National Updating Policy. This policy provides guidelines for
technical members to understand their updating requirements and
provides examples of the types of activities that can be used as
valid updating.
Gymnastics Australia encourages all technical members to download
and read the National Updating Policy to ensure the smooth and efficient
processing of your technical membership.
