The first weeks of training include a lot of fitness work in the gym and consultations with the expert service team at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) who provide wonderful support for the gymnasts.

The NCE program receives additional support from the many service departments at the AIS including staff from Facilities, Performance Management, Sports Science and Sports Medicine, Sports Camps, AIS Residence and Dining Hall staff, Logistics and other areas of service departments at the AIS.
