West Australian duo accepted into coaching program
West Australian-based Women’s Artistic Gymnastics high-performance coaches, Josh Fabian and Dhana Antulov have recently been accepted into a High-Performance Coaching and Officials Program thanks to the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
Highly regarded sport psychologist from Performance Perspective International, Dr Sandy Gordon, will deliver the course to successful applicants through a series of four, two-day modules.
The course has been facilitated by The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGISC ), encourages performance coaches and officials to be involved to further their skillset and develop important attributes for effective coaching.
The program is designed to promote the development of effective leadership capabilities and capacities for individuals working within sporting pathway programs.
The course will not only provide coaches and officials with an exploration into data interpretation and how that can assist in understanding one’s emotions, but also the promotion of resilience strategies and the enhancement of emotional intelligence for personal effectiveness.
Other important topics covered through the four-month program include how best to use effective communication and DISC data to assist a coach in managing athletes.
