Olympic quota spots bouncing away in Brescia
This weekend, our Trampoline Gymnastics stars will take flight on the international stage for the first time in nearly 18 months at the 2021 Brescia Trampoline World Cup, in Italy.
This high-stakes event will be the final Olympic qualification event in the FIG World Cup Series, seeing the best-of-the-best take to the stage in Italy as they vie for a chance to represent their country on the highest stage later this year.
At the conclusion of the series, the highest ranked eligible athletes across Men’s and Women’s Individual and Synchronised Trampoline will earn themselves quota place for the Games.
With 16 spots available for both men and women, much intrigue is placed on the next two days of competition.
Following their impressive Continental Championships performances, Dominic Clarke and Jessica Pickering will headline an Australian team, alongside Claire Arthur and Kira Ward.
Dom currently sits in 12th place in the Men Individual World Rankings, while in Women Individual Jess, Claire and Kira sit in 23rd, 32nd and 34th places, respectively.
Competition will kick off on Friday 4 June from 10:15am through till 5:15pm Brescia, Italy time (GMT+2). All finals will take place on Saturday evening, or very early Sunday morning, Australia time.
